From a personal visit to a nursing home to a purposeful innovation. Thus was born LUCIA, the first multisensory cabin designed to dignify daily care and bring physical, emotional and cognitive well-being to those who need it most.
Eduard Segura is an industrial designer, father of one daughter, and CEO of ISENSI. But, above all, he is someone who decided to act when something didn’t fit.
The story of LUCIA begins with an intimate experience: Eduard’s visits to the residence where his grandmother Lucia lived. There, an apparently minor detail, the persistent smell in the corridors, awakened a key question:
“How is hygiene performed in these centers?“
From there, the need arose to offer something different. A solution that would not only improve the cleaning process, but also generate a positive experience for both residents and caregivers. This is how LUCIA was born, a cabin that today can already be found in nursing homes, hospitals and specialized centers.

From personal need to purposeful multisensory technology
What started as a functional proposal quickly evolved into something more ambitious: a multisensory stimulation booth that helps improve behavior, encourage collaboration and promote a state of holistic well-being.
LUCIA is not just an assisted hygiene system. It is an experience designed to stimulate the senses through 4 sensory therapies:
- Aromatherapy
- Chromotherapy
- Music Therapy
- Hydrotherapy
Therapeutic and emotional benefits for users
Thanks to the combination of visual, sound, olfactory and tactile stimuli, each session becomes a moment of emotional comfort and connection with the present.
In centers where LUCIA is already in use, professionals have observed significant improvements in:
- Emotion management
- Collaborative behavior during hygiene
- Physical and mental relaxation
- Reduction of stress and anxiety states
These improvements have been corroborated by direct observation in sessions with people with different degrees of dependency, including those with intellectual disabilities or cognitive impairment.
A tool for multisensory stimulation in nursing homes and health centers.
LUCIA combines the benefits of Snoezelen rooms with the comforting environment of the spa. The result is a versatile tool that can be integrated into programs of:
- Cognitive stimulation
- Emotional intervention
- Physical rehabilitation
- Reduction of agitation in people with dementia
It is, in short, a different and more humane way of caring.
Advantages of LUCIA for residential centers and their professionals
In addition to the impact on the well-being of users, LUCIA also represents a tangible advantage for the institutions that implement it:
- Improved perception of the center’s quality
- Optimizes the task of the professionals, reducing physical and emotional effort.
- It provides a differential commercial argument compared to other centers.
- Positioning the center as a benchmark in healthcare innovation
As Eduard says in the interview, “If you had to choose between a residence with a spa cabin or without… what would you do?”
ISENSI: innovation with soul
With LUCIA, ISENSI opened a new category in elderly care. And it hasn’t stopped there. Today, the company collaborates with hospitals, mental health centers and residences specializing in neurological pathologies, such as multiple sclerosis.
Because where there is a human need, there can also be an experience of well-being.
